Governor announces changes in taxation on wine sale

From January 1, 2024, the tax regime on the commercialization of wines in Espírito Santo will no longer be made by tax substitution, and the partial anticipation regime of the tax will be committed. The change aims to ensure a fairer market for the state's commercial chain in the state, avoiding tax evasion in operations with this product.

As a result of change, in internal operations, wholesalers will not be able to use the reduction of the calculation base referred to in art. 5-A, VII of Law No. 7,000/01 (art. 534. Z-Z-A of RICMS-ES).
