State Revenue Operation recovers more than R $ 1 billion to state coffers

After 12 months of tax actions aimed at the regularization of taxpayers improperly framed as Individual Microentrepreneurs (MEIs) to the Secretariat of Finance (SEFAZ), through the State Revenue, recovered R $ 1,038,692.26 for the coffees public. The appeal refers to the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) due and the action aims to combat tax evasion and unfair competition.

The main irregularity found during the execution of tax actions was of taxpayers who had exceeded the annual gross revenue limit for framing as individual microentrepreneurs, which is prohibited by Complementary Law No. 123/2006.
