Industry grows 1.1% in March and interrupts sequence of falls

Brazilian industrial production was up 1.1% in March this year compared to the previous month. The discharge came after two consecutive falls (in January and February) and a month of stability (December 2022). The data are from the Monthly Industrial Research-Physical Production (PIM-PF), released on Wednesday, 10/05, by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

The sector also showed growth compared to March 2022 (0.9%).
