Espírito Santo is the state that most made investments in 2023

The government of Espírito Santo was the one that most made investments in 2023, among all states of the federation. This is what the Summary Budget Execution Report (Rreo) shows, released by the National Treasury Secretariat (STN). According to the report, all expenses committed by the state government last year, 20% were used for investments in infrastructure, health, sports, public safety, among other areas. The Secretary of State for Finance, the tax auditor Benicio Costa, notes that the amount destined by the State Government to investments in 2023 - R $ 4.2 billion - was the largest registered in state history. Espírito Santo has been beating record in invested amounts each year, totaling R $ 13.1 billion allocated in investments from 2019 to 2023, in nominal values.
