Unemployment falls 7.7% in the quarter

The continuous quarterly PNAD had a vacancy rate, unemployment thermometer in Brazil, falling 7.7% in this third quarter of 2023.

According to the publication of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the reduction in the rate of vacancy in the country at 7.7% represented a drop of 0.4 percentage point (p.p.) compared to the second quarter of this year ( 8.0%) and 1.0 pp compared to the same quarter of 2022 (8.7%).
